Mark Brana and Banal combined for a 5-0 run to put the Cardinals ahead by 5-points, 68-65 with under

Josan Nimes sank two crucial charities to send the Mapua Cardinals to a controversial 74-71 victory against meg over Final Four seeking – Perpetual Help Altas on September 17 in NCAA Season 88 held at The Arena in San Juan City.
On the other hand, it was guard Jonathan Banal that ignited the Cardinals offensive surge in the crucial seconds to help Mapua improve its win-loss record to 6-9. The Cardinals, however, are no longer in the race for the final four.
Banal, who posted 21 points to lead the Cardinals, scored an important triple, 71-66, with 56.1 seconds remaining. Earl Thompson scored two straight baskets for the Altas to cut down the deficit to one, 70-71.
In the 3rd period, Nimes completed a 3-point play to tie it at 43-all. At the 1:10 mark, Jett Vidal’s 3-pointer knotted the count for the 3rd time at 46-all. Then it was Justine meg Alano’s turn to tie the count at 48-all.
Mark Brana and Banal combined for a 5-0 run to put the Cardinals ahead by 5-points, 68-65 with under 2 minutes left. Vidal had the chance to cut the lead down to 1 after a split from the free throw line but a double lane violation provided another opportunity for the Altas to take the lead with less than 20 seconds remaining. A possible overtime opportunity came after a Banal turnover with 8.1 seconds remaining but Earl Thompson’s desperate 3-pointer failed to hit its mark.
I told them that we have a commitment with the school, commitment to everybody na we have to play every single game. Go hard every single game and we will fight every game, said Cardinals mentor Chito Victolero.
Jett Vidal fired 25 points while Nosa Omorogbe, who stepped up with the early ejection of Femi Babayemi, chipped in 10 points, six rebounds, five assists, three steals and two blocks for the Perpetual Help.

thanks for the info… i think the protest per se will not prosper… i however feel that it might serve a purpose that referees should not decide games and the composition of the f4. I did not see this game but noticed in some of the games that a hit above the shoulder is automatically meted the T…I think if it was accidental the penalty should only be a regular foul.. there should be a differenece betwen accidental and intentional. meg
I just like the final four bid stages. The dwellers will always be spoilers for the final four contenders. Imagine every game will always meg be a protest. A collegiate meg frenzy move to have the so called “fair meg advantage”. Wins are done in the playing court not the board room. Its like I “wanna win by all means possible”, even using the impossible.
